The first step for an easy install is to remove as much furniture from your van as possible. Then lay out madmatz closed cell 7mm underlay or similar (you must use a non moisture holding material). Fit a plywood base we use 9mm or prepare the existing floor.
The plywood base should not be fixed down but left as a floating type floor. The ply can now be marked out. Set the floor out for equal size cuts all round, you can do this with a tape measure or by laying out the tiles and adjusting until you are happy with it. Draw 2 lines one horizontal and one vertical this will give you your start point.
The best adhesive to use is an acrilic flooring adhesive. Spread out adhesive using comb provided. Wait for adhesive to become tacky, this may take some time but if you fit into the abhesive wet the the tiles will move and slide around when you are fitting them.
Begin laying tiles from the start point marked in stage 2, build up the main field taking your time to make sure you have the tiles going in the right direction.
The tiles can be laid in the direction of your choice either all north to south or maybe one colour north to south the other east to west.
To fit partial tiles, lay the tile to be cut exactly oner the last full tile, then place another full tile against the edge and mark the cutting line where the tiles overlap, cut the tile on the line. Check that the tile fits, do not force it into place triming it if needed.
Clean the tiles removing any excess adhesive with white spirit. Apply madmatz gloss polish for a tough easy to clean finish. Fit a suitable edge trim. Stunning results like this can be achieved in just a few hours.
